COVID Guidelines

BBA Basketball has created a plan to follow the CDC guidelines to attempt to limit the potential exposure to COVID-19 for all players, coaches and spectators safe during these difficult times.  Beginning immediately and continuiing through Championship Saturday, the following list of rules must be strictly adhered to for all practices and games.

Per CDC Guidelines updated January 20, 2022 and BBA COVID Guidelines we at BBA will adhere to the following protocols.  Please note date of exposure is Day 0.  

FOR THE PLAYER THAT TESTED POSITIVE AND HAS SYMPTOMS (REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS):

Stay home for at least 5 days
Stay home for 5 days and isolate from others in your home.

Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home.

FOR THE PLAYERS ON TEAMS THAT WERE EXPOSED TO A COVID-POSITIVE PLAYER OR COACH (AND ARE NOT UP TO DATE ON YOUR COVID VACCINATIONS):

Quarantine for at least 5 days

Stay home
Stay home and quarantine for at least 5 full days.

Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home.

FOR THE PLAYERS ON TEAMS THAT WERE EXPOSED TO A COVID-POSITIVE PLAYER OR COACH (AND ARE UP TO DATE ON YOUR COVID VACCINATIONS):

No quarantine
You do not need to stay home unless you develop symptoms.

Get tested
Even if you don’t develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.

FOR THE PLAYERS ON TEAMS THAT WERE EXPOSED TO A COVID-POSITIVE PLAYER OR COACH  (AND HAD CONFIRMED COVID WITHIN THE PAST 90 DAYS MEANING YOU TESTED POSITIVE USING A VIRAL TEST):

No quarantine
You do not need to stay home unless you develop symptoms.
